And then comes a moment, When you do not have anyw

And then comes a moment,
When you do not have anywhere to be,
and you can finally feel the sun slowly tanning your skin,
and the gentle breeze tantalising the hair on your body,
and a distant music playing in your head from a time passed by,
and you are at peace
-an overstated word,
And the only emotion you can feel
is gratitude.
to the people who are with you,
and sweet pangs of lament for the people who have been washed away by the tides of time,
and finally you understand the ebbs and flow of life
for the time being

To the first year and many more to follow the same tune.

One day, you too shall pass on, as insignificant

One day,
you too shall pass on,
as insignificantly as
you were
born,
lived,
loved,
in the grand scheme of things.

Wise people talk about,
leaving a legacy,
as miniscule,
it may be,
as a photo album;
Embracing or renouncing
the pleasures of the flesh;
or burning out in the
arbitrary idea of a purpose;

Nothing remains though,
not legacy,
nor memories,
nor the reminiscents of existence,
and as disheartening may it be,
but life makes sense only to the living,
and it may or not seem
but exists only in between
the mundane inconsequential things.
